Dean Ravida Obituary 

 The identity of a 35-year-old man who was struck and killed by a train near Okemos Friday evening has been disclosed by the police. Dean Ravida, a resident of East Lansing, lost his life around 6:15 p.m.

On Friday due to the impact. Law enforcement officers were called to the vicinity of the 2900 block of Northwind Drive. No foul play is suspected in Ravida’s demise, according to the police.

The train came to a halt after hitting Ravida, obstructing the intersection of Okemos Road and Gaylord C. Smith Court. Subsequently, the train was moved and all intersections were reopened.

The Meridian Township Police Department received assistance from the Michigan State University Police Department, the CN Police, and the Meridian Township Fire Department.
