Daniel Dan Moyer, a dedicated project manager at Lennon Smith and Souleret Engineering, tragically passed away on June 7, 2024, at the age of 33, leaving behind a legacy of commitment, attention to detail, and a passion for the outdoors. Born on March 31, 1991, in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, Dan was a shining star in his community, known for his love of nature, sports, and his unwavering dedication to his family and friends.
As a project manager at Lennon Smith and Souleret Engineering, Dan’s expertise and meticulous approach earned him respect and admiration from his colleagues. His passion for the outdoors was unmatched, and he spent every spare moment hunting, fishing, or golfing with loved ones. Dan’s love for athletics was evident in his competitive spirit, which shone bright on the hockey rink and baseball pitch.
Dan’s educational journey began at Hempfield Area High School, where he laid the foundation for his future success. He continued his pursuit of knowledge at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, excelling academically and athletically. His paternal grandparents, Jack E. Moyer, Sr. and Margaret F. Moyer, and maternal grandfather, Paul F. Miller, preceded him in death.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Coby V. Detar Moyer; his brothers, Douglas J. Moyer and Matthew J. Moyer; his maternal grandmother, Mona Storch Miller; his stepbrother, Adam Keslar; stepsister, Dawn Keslar; niece, Rilee Dillon; mother-in-law, Dana Detar; father-in-law, Timothy Detar; and his parents, Donna G. Miller Keslar and Jack E. Moyer, Jr.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be held on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of the blessing service at 8 p.m. at the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc., 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601. Family and friends are welcome to attend. Dan’s family has entrusted the Pantalone family with his care.
