Moncrieffe Marlon, Jaheem Emmanuel Miles Death: Police Seek Driver After Two Pedestrians Killed on Route 5/15 in East Hartford

Moncrieffe Marlon, Jaheem Emmanuel Miles Death – Two individuals from Hartford lost their lives in a tragic incident on Route 5/15 in East Hartford early Thursday morning. The driver responsible for the accident fled the scene, and state police are currently searching for them.

The deceased have been identified as Moncrieffe Marlon, 18, and Jaheem Emmanuel Miles, 21, both residents of Hartford. The collision occurred at approximately 1:17 a.m. on Thursday.

According to state police, Miles was a passenger in a disabled Honda Accord located on Route 5/15 South, near the on-ramp from Interstate 84 West.

The vehicle had been positioned in the right lane, while the driver, Miles, and another passenger had moved to the right shoulder. Unfortunately, Miles and Marlon, who were on foot, had gathered near the Honda and were struck by a passing Nissan Rogue.

Marlon tragically lost his life at the scene, while Miles was transported to Hartford Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, as confirmed by state police. The driver and the other passenger from the Honda sustained minor injuries from a previous crash and were taken to Saint Francis Hospital, according to state police reports.

The driver of the Nissan fled from the scene, leaving state police authorities searching for their whereabouts.
