Investigators suspect that the shooting ensued after a confrontation with two women escalated, ultimately leading to the fatal gunfire
The individual who lost his life following a confrontation with two women inside a corner store deli in Philadelphia’s Point Breeze neighborhood has been identified.
The authorities continue their search for the women implicated in the incident. Identified by both law enforcement and his family, the deceased is Tyreece Jerry, aged 35.
According to police reports, Jerry sustained multiple gunshot wounds while inside the Federal Deli Market located at the intersection of 20th and Federal streets around 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
The deli is situated near the 17th Police Precinct, just a short distance away. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered Jerry on the ground outside the store.
He was then rushed to Jefferson University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

“That’s when we know one of the females pulled a handgun and fired at least five shots, striking the 35-year-old male victim at least four times. Three in the torso and once in the leg,” explained Chief Inspector Scott Small of the Philadelphia Police Department.
Following the incident, the police reported that the two women fled in opposite directions.

They expressed surprise at female shooting suspects, highlighting the unusual nature of the altercation between two women and one man.
Law enforcement admitted uncertainty about the motive behind the argument escalating into violence and emphasized that they are still unaware of the dispute’s subject matter.
The shooter, described as a woman aged between 23 and 25, stands approximately five feet, two inches tall. She wears braids and was attired in dark grey Crocs and black pants with notable holes on the legs.
Police recovered her hooded sweatshirt at the scene. The other woman, believed to be in her late 20s, is about five feet, nine inches tall. She wore white sandals, black pants with holes in the knees and thighs, and a denim jacket with perforations on the right and left biceps.
She was last observed fleeing eastbound in the 1900 block of Manton Street. One of the bullets pierced the glass door of the corner store, which was later reopened on Tuesday, with a large sticker placed over the bullet hole.
