Jessica Luna Sanchez Obituary
A 24-year-old female passed away following a collision in Northwest D.C. on Saturday night. Jessica Luna Sanchez, aged 24 and residing in Northwest, was seated in the passenger seat of a Subaru at the time of the accident.
The Metropolitan Police Department’s initial investigation revealed that the driver of the Subaru was traveling at high speed in a northbound direction on 16th Street Northwest when attempting to overtake a BMW around 10:30 p.m.
The Subaru driver collided with the front of the BMW, subsequently losing control of the vehicle and crossing over into the southbound lanes of 16th Street, ultimately crashing into a tree.
Despite efforts to save her, Sanchez, who sustained severe injuries, was declared deceased. The driver of the Subaru was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Fortunately, no one in the BMW was injured.
