Jason Pickleman Chicago Il, Death: Chicago’s most experimental art collector has died

Jason Pickleman, a brilliant, creative, art world friend has passed away suddenly. His death was made public on a social media post on May of May, 2024. His obituary will be publicized by the proper authorities.

The general public is urged to keep the family of Jason Pickleman in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate through this sad and difficult time of grief.

Life and Career

Jason is a beacon of joy, with the heart of a mensch and the flair of a dandy that enriches the hearts of his listeners and art lovers. Pickleman is a smaller version of myth. He is little in stature and moves a little impatiently. Cardigans and white button-downs, a like Comme des Garçons, have been a staple of his uniform for decades.

They are draped over cropped pants. Pickleman frequently carries a cotton tote bag over his shoulder, like he did on our walk. He has a neatly shaven head and face. His smile is endearing, but not completely innocent. He squints in the sunlight.

Like all myths, Pickleman’s story doesn’t quite fit the contours of his life. He finds himself engulfed in an artifice that is only partially his own because he is a dazzlingly productive graphic designer, a passionate collector of contemporary art, a dedicated musician and poet, a mainstay of the social scene, and many other things.

This afternoon, both his mortality and his mystique weigh heavily on him. Not only is he dying, but there is still an overwhelming amount of work to be done.

Jason Pickleman obituary will be publicized by the proper authorities.
