David Seth Gonzales Obituary
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has announced that a 27-year-old man lost his life on Saturday after crashing into a curb and two trees in La Quinta.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Monroe Street and Airport Boulevard at 2:25 a.m. Deputies from the sheriff’s Thermal station promptly responded to the report of a single-vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, they discovered a white Kia sedan overturned on the sidewalk. Unfortunately, the driver was trapped inside and could not be reached by the deputies.
Emergency services, including an ambulance and personnel from Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, also arrived at the scene.
Tragically, the driver was pronounced dead at the location. According to investigators, it is believed that the Kia was traveling southbound on Monroe Street when the driver failed to stop at the stop sign on Airport Boulevard.
As a result, the driver lost control, collided with a curb and two trees, and ultimately ended up on its roof. The victim has been identified as David Seth Gonzales from Cathedral City. If anyone has any additional information about the crash, they are urged to contact Deputy I. Ramirez at 760-863-8990.
