Death; Peggy Moore Oakland, CA & partner, Hope Wood died in car accident on May 10

Peggy Moore, who resided in Oakland, California, and Hope Wood, who was her partner, both died  as a result of a car accident that took place on the evening of Friday, May 10th.

Moore and Wood were reportedly on their way home from a concert when they were involved in a head-on collision and both of them passed away simultaneously. The condition of another member of Hope’s family is still considered to be critical.

In 2019, Peggy Moore collaborated with her wife, Hope Wood, to establish Hope Action Change, a company that specializes in executive coaching and organizational development consulting. Peggy Moore served as the principal and co-founder of the company.

Over the course of her career, Peggy has been involved in a variety of activities, including political participation, government and public affairs, organizational leadership, and organizing work in the political, corporate, and charitable sectors.

Her commitment to empowering others to take leadership roles, as well as her extensive network of ties across the state of California and within the Black community, are additional noteworthy aspects of her identity.

In addition to being a racial justice leadership and organizational development coach and consultant, Hope Wood was also a compassionate individual who had been at the forefront of organizing and strategy work for more than twenty years.

The year 2019 marked the establishment of Hope Action Change Consulting, a company that provides assistance to social and racial justice change leaders in the process of establishing organizations that are both impactful and sustainable.
