Two individuals along with their pet dog lost their lives in a tragic incident when their mobile home exploded during the night. The explosion took place around 3:54 a.m. on 85th Avenue in Mille Lacs County, located approximately 80 miles north of Minneapolis.

Upon receiving numerous emergency calls regarding the blast, the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office immediately responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, deputies found a significant debris field still engulfed in flames from the explosion. With the help of various fire departments in the area, the fire was eventually put out.

Tragically, two victims were discovered in the debris, identified as 60-year-old Royce Edward Kreger and 61-year-old Katherine Ann Kreger. Both individuals, who resided in the home, were pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, their family dog was also found deceased in the wreckage.

The cause of the explosion is currently under investigation by the Minnesota Fire Marshal’s Office in collaboration with the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office.

The authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. The investigation is still ongoing, and more details will be released as they become available.
