Jennifer Pace, the Republican primary candidate for US House of Representatives District 7 in Indiana, reportedly died in March 2024. Her death was caused by a heart attack.
As of 9:25 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, she had 31% of the vote in the race for the position of United States Representative in Indiana’s 7th district, which includes the city of Indianapolis.
According to the Associated Press, the Democratic nomination for the 7th district has been announced for incumbent André Carson, who leads with 91 percent of the vote with 90 percent of the votes tabulated.
Since 2007, when he won a special election to fill the seat that had been vacated by his grandmother, he has been serving the voters of the Indianapolis district…
In this year’s election, Carson faced opposition from two veterans, Pierre Pullins and Curtis Godfrey, both of whom are Democrats. Their stated goal was to provide people of the 7th District with a greater selection of options. It is getting closer to the Republican ballot.
Jennifer Pace has 31 percent of the vote, retired Army Lt. Catherine Ping has 30 percent, retired postal worker Philip Davis has 26 percent, and former Evansville mayor candidate Gabe Whitley has 13 percent of the vote. The total number of votes counted is 75 percent.
