Curtis J. Campbell Obituary

The individual involved in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. Route 150 at East Knox Road has been identified by Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood.

The victim, Curtis J. Campbell, a 29-year-old resident of Williamsfield, was operating a UTV when he collided with a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado at approximately 3:54 p.m.

Harwood stated that Campbell was airlifted to OSF Healthcare Saint Francis Medical Center in critical condition. Despite receiving intensive medical care, Campbell was declared brain-dead at 3:23 p.m. on Thursday.

Toxicology tests conducted in accordance with Illinois State law yielded negative results for Campbell.

The driver of the Silverado did not sustain any injuries, as confirmed by the Illinois State Police. The state police are currently investigating the incident.
