The identity of a pedestrian who was fatally struck in a hit-and-run incident in Greenville early Wednesday morning has been disclosed by the coroner.
The collision occurred on North Pleasantburg Drive at Worley Road, right in front of the Aldi store, involving two pedestrians who were hit shortly after 5 a.m.
Tragically, one of the pedestrians, Santees Cummings, aged 42, lost his life at the scene. Cummings, who was a transient with no fixed address, has had his relatives informed of his untimely demise.
The second pedestrian was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. Footage captured at the site of the accident displayed two bicycles, with one of them towing a wagon. No further details regarding the crash have been released at this time.
