Alexander Grant Obituary :
Officials have confirmed that the body discovered earlier on Wednesday outside a Goodyear Heights apartment complex belongs to Alexander Grant, a 20-year-old Akron resident who was fatally shot multiple times.
The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office is currently looking into the shooting that resulted in Grant’s death and left another individual wounded.
Reports of gunshots in the 1900 block of Newton Street were received around 4:15 a.m., as stated in a press release by Gary Guenther from the Medical Examiner’s Office. Grant was found in the parking lot with several gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:40 a.m.
A 58-year-old woman, the second victim, was taken to a nearby hospital with severe injuries that are not life-threatening, as reported by the Akron Police Department.
Both the Medical Examiner’s Office and Akron police are investigating the matter.
