Fort Worth police are still investigating a shooting incident that occurred during an ‘after-prom’ house party, resulting in three individuals sustaining gunshot wounds, one of whom tragically passed away.
As of Monday evening, authorities have not disclosed any details regarding arrests made in connection with the case or any information about the suspect or suspects involved.
Law enforcement officials have informed NBC 5 that attendees of the party have not been forthcoming with information during the investigation.
The deceased victim has been identified as 19-year-old Daniel Olalde Moreno from Fort Worth. His family spoke with NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 at their residence on Monday morning.
The Olalde family is grieving the loss of Daniel, who was known for his love of cologne and always looking neat. Despite his mischievous side, his family emphasizes his deep love for them. Daniel’s parents were unaware of his plans to attend the party that fateful evening. His sister Stephanie was at home when she received news of the shooting and Daniel’s hospitalization. Two gunshot victims were taken to John Peter Smith Hospital at 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, while Olalde was transported to Harris Southwest Hospital at 2:15 a.m. before being transferred by CareFlight.
