Clyde and Marie Hartman Hasbrouck welcomed their son Fred into the world on February 6, 1944 in Titusville. Fred was their son. He tied the knot with Sandra Mallory, the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, on December 23, 1980, in Pleasantville.
Together, they had a life that was full of love, laughter, and memories that they would treasure forever. Fred, who graduated from Townville High School in 1963 and was proud of his accomplishments, committed himself to working hard and providing service to others.
He displayed bravery and loyalty to his fellow soldiers and women while serving his country with distinction in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After completing his military service, Fred worked at Trans Penn Wax Corp. in Titusville until he retired. He also worked at Hasbrouck Sand and Gravel, where he left an indelible mark on his community by his unwavering commitment to his work.
Fred was a well-liked member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Bruce Shorts Post 5958 in Titusville, where he discovered a sense of camaraderie and formed friendships with other veterans.
Traveling, working with machinery, and spending time outside were some of Fred’s favorite things to do in his spare time. He really enjoyed cutting the grass for his neighbors. His playful attitude and witty humor brought delight to anyone who knew him.
His devoted wife Sandy, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom he cherished, as well as his brothers, sisters, and a large number of nieces and nephews, are among those who will miss Fred tremendously. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing him will miss him tremendously because of his kind nature, warm smile, and kind heart.
