Following a valiant struggle against Parkinson’s disease, Antoinette Nickens Parks, who was 78 years old at the time of her passing, passed away in a calm and serene manner on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born in Nash County to Hubert Edward Nickens, Sr. and Helen Pate Nickens, both of whom have since passed away.
Despite the challenges she faced, Antoinette was well-known for her undying love to her family, as well as her kindness and compassion for others. She was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandma, and her love was limitless. Her love exceeded all expectations.
Her lack of selfishness and generosity left an everlasting impact on the hearts of those who were lucky enough to be able to call her a friend or family member.
Throughout her whole life, Antoinette remained a rock of support and strength for those who were close to her. She was always there to offer words of wisdom, comfort, and encouragement to people who were going through difficult times.
Her gentle spirit and sensitive attitude were a source of compassion. Despite the fact that she is no longer with us, her legacy will continue to shine brilliantly, shedding light on the lives of everyone who had the incredible opportunity to know her.
