Tom Boyd Death, Longtime Resident of New York, HBR Racing Legend, Tom Boyd Has Passed Away

Our group is in a state of disarray as a result of the loss. After Tom Boyd fought bravely against an aggressive brain tumor, we said our final goodbyes to him on the gloomy day of Monday, April 1st. He was a dear friend of ours. Tom went beyond the boundaries of merely being a member of the crew and a teammate; he exemplified the very definition of a true gentleman.

Tom was a figure that existed throughout the history of the racing community and was eagerly anticipated for conversation. He possessed the remarkable ability to bring a sense of adoration and appreciation to each and every person he worked with. During times of upheaval, he exemplified the very definition of steadiness and rationality, providing a presence that was soothing and rooted all of us together.

We had the honor of working alongside Tom for a record-breaking 19 seasons, which is quite an accomplishment. The friendship that he shared with us is the thing that we will miss the most, but his contributions to the track were invaluable.

His presence enriched the moments of camaraderie, shared laughter, and solidarity that we experienced, and these are the things that will remain in our memories for the rest of our lives.

Sincere condolences are extended to his cherished wife, Deb, as well as to the rest of his family. May the cherished memories you hold dear and the knowledge that Tom’s spirit will forever reside in our hearts bring you comfort.

May you find solace in these elements. As you rest in peace, Tommy. Within our team and the racing community as a whole, your legacy of kindness, integrity, and camaraderie will live on forever. Your absence has left a void that can never be filled, but your legacy will survive forever.
