John Baker Obituary, Mayville, New York, (2024) – Death Notice And Visitation

After learning of the demise of Francis LeRoy Baker, who had worked for Swoyersville Borough in the past, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Baker family. We are deeply saddened by the news of Francis’s passing In 1982, Roy started his career in the police force as a part-time officer. In 1989, he was given the option to advance to a full-time job, which he took advantage of.

In the seventeen years that followed, he continued to be of service to the community. It was in the month of October in 2006 that he eventually decided to resign from his previous position.

Roy served as the Juvenile Officer for Swoyersville and was a member of the Luzerne County Drug Task Force in addition to holding the post of secretary for the FOP Lodge 36. He also served as a member of several other organizations. He was responsible for a wide variety of jobs, and these are only a few of the many in his portfolio.

The individual who is currently employed by Swoyersville in the capacity of director of emergency management is John Baker, and Roy is the father of John Baker.

Currently, John Baker is serving in this capacity as the incumbent. Please refer to the obituary that has been published in the newspaper for information regarding the viewing times and dates that will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, which is located on Hughes Street in Swoyersville. The church is located in Swoyersville.

On April 21, 2024, a funeral service will be held at St. Mark’s Cathedral, where John Baker was a devoted member for more than four decades. The purpose of the service is to commemorate the life of John Baker and pay tribute to his passing. Following the funeral service, which will begin at 10 o’clock in the morning, there will be a procession to Evergreen Memorial Gardens for the burial ceremony.

The service will be immediately followed by the burial. People from the community, as well as friends and family, are cordially invited to join the memorial service in order to pay their respects to John Baker and to commemorate the amazing life he led. On April 11, 2024, the Smith & Sons Funeral Home will be open for visitation beginning at four o’clock in the afternoon and continuing until eight o’clock in the evening.
