Helen S. Phillips Obituary, Montreal City, Canada, (1940 – 2024) – Death Notice And Visitation

On Sunday, February 18, 2024, Helen Lewis Phillips, who had been a resident of Roanoke, Virginia during her lifetime, passed away. During the time of her passing, she had reached the age of 75 years. She was born on November 24th, 1948 to her parents, John and Jeanne Lewis. Helen Lewis was named after her mother. 1948 was mentioned as the year of her birth.

Helen started devoting her time to painting after she retired from FedEx in 2016. She also began interacting with the natural world, animals, and other forms of artistic expression while she was doing so. Before Helen was born, both her mother, Jeanne LeBrun Lewis, and her brother, Leland Lewis, had already passed away. Helen was the only one who was still alive. John Lewis, her father, was another individual who had left this world. He had passed away.

In the event that Helen Phillips passes away, her legacy will be passed down to Jonathan Phillips, who is her son. Instead of sending flowers, the family asks that donations be made to an animal rescue organization of your choosing. This is an alternative to sending flowers. Helen had a great deal of enthusiasm with regard to this particular cause, and her family would be grateful for your support in this endeavor.

Helen played a pivotal role in providing support to front-line staff as well as providing support to visionary team members during the remarkable 36 years that she worked for what was then known as Kemptville and District Home Support. During this time, she was given the opportunity to work for the organization. Not only did she hold the position of Board President for a considerable amount of time, but she was also in charge of a wide range of specialized programs.

These programs included, among other things, assistance with income tax and transportation. The unwavering optimism, warm demeanor, and generous spirit that she possessed will be sorely missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know and interact with her due to the fact that she possessed these qualities. Her passing will be deeply mourned by those who had the same opportunity.

We would like to express our most sincere condolences to her family on behalf of our Board of Directors, each and every member of our staff, and each and every one of our volunteers. We are deeply saddened by her passing. Her passing has left us in a state of profound sorrow. A program that is known as a Celebration of Life is currently being planned by the Phillips family, and they are in the process of making preparations for it.

This event is scheduled to take place during the month of May so stay tuned for that! Along with being succeeded by her cherished but generally underappreciated children Catherine, Monica, and James, by her grandchildren Susanna, Joshua, and Josiah (who passed away), by her great grandchildren Sierra and Jasper, and by her much-loved sister-in-law Patricia, Helen was also the best friend and life partner of Ross, her spouse of 62 years.

She was married to Ross for 62 years. Her absence will be keenly felt by each and every one of these parties. It was her brother Brodie who made the decision to pass away before she did. In the final days of Helen’s life, the palliative care team provided her with care that was both compassionate and considerate, and we would like to express our deepest gratitude to them for that.

In addition to the contributions made by nurses Melissa Morin, Debby Carswell, and Lisa Blais, Dr. Tania Zakum made a substantial amount of work that is deserving of special recognition. Rather than sending flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Seniors Community Services, which is the successor to KDHS. These contributions can be made at 215 Sanders Street in Kemptville or online at SENIORSCS.CA.

The address for the organization is 215 Sanders Street. Later on in the spring, after the funeral arrangements have been finalized, there will be a celebration of her life that will take place. Members of her immediate family will be the only people who are allowed to attend the ceremony, which will be held in private.
