Those of you who are Randall Jordan’s friends, rest assured that none of us can guarantee that tomorrow will arrive. A former classmate of ours and an original neighbor in Arrowhead, Douglas King, passed away peacefully in his sleep. He was a resident of Arrowhead originally.
Among our closest companions, he was a friend. His high school graduation from Kempsville High School took place in the year 1974. To his family, please accept my deepest condolences. He will, without a doubt, be missed.
Douglas King was known for his unwavering generosity and his willingness to help anyone who was in need. This is one of the most well-known characteristics of King. As a result of his unwavering commitment to volunteering at the local soup kitchen, he was able to make a positive impact on the lives of a significant number of individuals who were struggling with issues related to hunger and homelessness.
Others in our community were inspired to imitate his example and follow in his footsteps as a result of his acts of selflessness and generosity, which served as a beacon of hope in our community.
Douglas King was a devoted family man who placed the highest value on spending time with his loved ones. In addition to his work in the charitable sector, he was also a man who worked passionately for the welfare of others. He made it a point to create memories that would last a lifetime and be treasured by multiple generations to come, whether it was through the hosting of Sunday dinners or the organization of family outings. He went to great lengths to ensure that these memories were created.
Happiness was bestowed upon those who were in his immediate vicinity as a result of his friendliness, sense of humor, and unwavering support. Additionally, he left an indelible mark on the hearts of his family and friends. Furthermore, in addition to his roles as a devoted husband and father, Douglas King worked at the neighborhood hardware store for more than four decades. He was there for a variety of reasons. He brought a lot of dedication to his work there.
As a result of his remarkable work ethic, his integrity, and his unwavering commitment to providing outstanding customer service, he was able to garner the respect and admiration of both his fellow employees and his clients. He approached each and every task with a smile and a sense of enthusiasm, which led to him becoming a well-liked figure in the community. He was able to accomplish success in all of his endeavors.
