According to reports, the Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and the Mount Ephraim Police Chief Brian Conte have reported that a juvenile has been charged with assaulting a man in Mount Ephraim on Saturday night. A severe amount of injuries were sustained by the man as a consequence of the assault.
On the evening of Saturday, March 23, 2024, at approximately 10:40 p.m., it was reported that a male who was unconscious was present in the parking lot of a business that was situated at 20 West Kings Highway in Mount Ephraim.
Mount Ephraim Police Department officers were dispatched to the location in order to investigate the situation. Upon arrival, the officers discovered the victim, a male from Mount Ephraim who was 46 years old and suffering from what appeared to be a head injury.
The victim was lying on the ground when they discovered him. The victim is still in critical condition at Cooper University Hospital, which is where he was ultimately transported. This remains the case to this entire day.
The victim was punched in the head by a juvenile, which resulted in him falling against the ground and hitting his head on the ground. While they were conducting their investigation, the detectives came across this information and discovered it.
An individual who resides in Collingswood and is sixteen years old has been identified as the person of interest in this investigation. It was on Monday, March 25, 2024, in the city of Cherry Hill that a member of the United States Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division was successful in capturing the suspect.
A single count of Aggravated Assault in the second degree was brought against the suspect, and he was subsequently taken into custody at the Camden County Youth Rehabilitation Center because of the allegations that were brought against him.
