George Newcomb Obituary, CHS Choral Department Mourns George Newcomb, (2024) – Death Notice

Unfortunately, we must notify you that the Choir Dad or Grandfather of each and every student at CHS has died away. It is with a heavy heart that we must share this news with you. From his position as an angel on earth, Bo made it his mission to see that all of the standards were met, that all of the sets were erected, and that everyone was aware that they were loved. Throughout all of eternity, he will be held in high esteem.

The information regarding the service that is supplied below is something that you might want to take note of.

During this trying time, if you would like to share memories with us, please write an email or leave a private note for Ms. Steele at CHS. We will then be able to share those memories with the family.

You will also have the opportunity to include some of your most treasured images in the package. It is of utmost importance that you make it a point to be extra affectionate towards your loved ones today.  The following is a list of the arrangements: Belmont Christian Church will be the location of the memorial service for George Newcomb, which will take place on Sunday, April 7th.

If you were to attend, it would be a privilege for us. There will be a visitation from 1:30 to 3:00, during which time the casket will be closed. Following the visitation, there will be a service to celebrate the life of the individual who has passed away at 3:00. Instead of sending flowers, the family asks that you give some thought to giving a donation to the music department at Christiansburg High School.

This will allow the department to continue to provide assistance for events that take place at the George Bo Newcomb Auditorium. The phrase “In Memory of Bo Newcomb” should be written on the memo line of your cheque if you would like to make a contribution to the Community Health Services (CHS).
