Jared Meyers Obituary, 28, of Ellwood City, Has Sadly Passed Away – Death

Ellwood City resident Jared Sean Meyers was admitted to UPMC Jameson Hospital and died on March 7, 2024. He was in his twenties. Ellwood City welcomed Jared Meyers into this world on August 13, 1995. Seán Meyers and Rebecca Funk Keefer are his parents.

On top of his stellar athletic career, Jared graduated from Lincoln High School in 2014 with his fellow seniors. Among his many achievements are his roles as football team captain, Ellwood City’s leading rusher, Penn-Ohio game participant, and state track and field competitor.

He favored vehicles such as scooters, motorbikes, and cars. It was common for him to use all three. Jared took immense pride in his achievements and the fact that he was an active member of the Peloton community, having reached the status of top 1% achiever. Lastly, Jared will be forever cherished as an extraordinary person who shone in every role he played: father, son, husband, brother, and friend. The people who were lucky enough to know him will long for his return.

The management of Meyers Auto Group was entrusted to Jared and his father, Sean. The people around him said he was “everything to everyone, all the time,” and he truly wanted to do his best for his family and local community. Whether he was cracking jokes, regaling you with tales, or even just embracing you in his trademark hug, Jared’s smile could light up any room.

Jared is survived by his wife and love of his life, Cassidy (Court) Meyers, whom he married on October 19th, 2019, beloved son & “mini-me”, Griffin Jared Meyers, both of Ellwood City, mother, Rebecca Keefer and her fiance Mark Mathias of Monroeville, father, Sean (Shelli) Meyers of New Galilee, sister, Morgan Meyers and her fiance Billy Plante of Baltimore, maternal grandmother, Joan “E-Ma” Funk of Fombell, paternal grandparents, Warren and Denise Meyers of North Sewickley Township, step-grandmother, “Grammy” Linda McBride of Enon Valley, father-in-law, Mayor Tony Court of Ellwood City and mother-in-law, Stacy Court of Ellwood City, sister-in-law, Ashley (Zac) Carr, brother-in-law, Kevin Court, nephew, Conner Carr, his cat, Steve French Meyers, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Both his step-grandfather Leslie McBride and maternal grandfather Skip Funk died before he was born.
