Jim Manucy Obituary, Longtime Resident of Wichita Falls, Texas, Has Passed Away Peacefully

With a legacy of compassion and kindness, Jim Manucy, a cherished member of the Wichita Falls community, peacefully passed away. His generosity and unfaltering commitment to those closest to him were hallmarks of his personality. Everyone who knew Jim was moved by his kind nature and infectious smile.

His numerous contributions to Wichita Falls as a longtime resident left an unforgettable impression on many. We remember him with fondness and rejoice in the many happy times we had with him, even as we grieve his passing. No one will ever forget Jim, but he will be greatly missed.

Linda, Jim’s daughter “My father is currently receiving hospice care at home. As many of you are aware, in June of last year, he had spots of lung cancer removed. Despite being able to completely eradicate the lung cancer, they also found that he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer that had spread to his liver. He began Chemo at the close of December.

A few things have gone wrong for us. My father has decided to stop receiving chemotherapy. We’re taking care of his pain and trying to make him comfortable. He has put in a lot of hard and prolonged fighting. At best, his short-term memory is sporadic. Ah, but his long-term memory. He continues to tell his stories when he has the energy and a crowd. Feel free to share your wishes and stories. Jesus is my dad’s personal savior.”

During his time in the United States Air Force, Jim Manucy was a truly devoted individual who served his country with honor. He received his high school diploma from Ribault Senior High School in 1968 and then went on to finish his education at Midwestern State University.

He was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. Jim made his home in Wichita Falls, Texas, and it was there that he started to have a significant influence on the community. He was well-known for his participation in a variety of charitable activities and his willingness to lend a helping hand to those who were in need.

His dedication to service extended beyond his time spent serving in the military. Jim remained resilient and continued to inspire others with his strength and positivity, despite the fact that he was going through chemotherapy at the end of December and suffering from health problems.

His family and friends were extremely important to him, and he made it a point to try to make memories with them that would last a lifetime. All of those who had the honor of knowing Jim will always remember the legacy of selflessness and perseverance that he left behind.
