On March 28, 2024, William L. “Bill” Dixon Jr., 59, of Tyrone, went away. Even though his life was short, it was full of love, passion, and commitment to his community and family.
A Life of Love and Commitment
In Altoona, Pennsylvania, on March 26, 1965, Bill was born into the family of the late William L. Dixon Sr. and Carole (Taylor) Bishop. He wed Brenda (Replogle) Dixon, the love of his life, in Port Matilda on October 3, 1987. They had an unbreakable bond together that was based on mutual respect, love, and support.
A Proud Family Man
Sage and Taylor Dixon were the two children that Bill loved and cared for. He treasured every second he spent with them and was extremely proud of them as they developed into the extraordinary people they are today. In addition, Bill is predeceased by his father-in-law, Dale Replogle, and mother-in-law, Nancy Dixon-Cash; and his sister, Carrie Dixon-Cash.
A Multitalented Man
Bill was an accomplished craftsman and entrepreneur who attended Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and Tyrone Area High School. He proudly and assiduously continued his family’s legacy as the owner and operator of Dixon Tool and Die.
Bill loved to cook, fly fish, and tie flies in addition to his professional endeavors. He spent many hours on the water enjoying his love of fishing because he found comfort and happiness in the peace of nature.
A Legacy of Strength and Resilience
Strong will, tenacity, and an unwavering dedication to his family and community characterize Bill’s legacy. All who had the honor of knowing him will sincerely miss his kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit.
Final Farewell
William “Bill” L. Dixon Jr.’s family and close friends will be able to pay their own tribute to him at his private funeral services. Donations to a preferred charity in Bill’s honor may be made in place of flowers.

We say goodbye to Bill Dixon, but his memory will always be with us, and we know that everyone who knew and loved him will carry his spirit with them. Bill, may you rest in peace knowing that you were cherished and will always be in our hearts.
