Tim Kusan, a beloved Columbus, Ohio, resident, passed away suddenly, and our hearts are heavy with grief. Tim passed away suddenly on a Wednesday afternoon, at the age of 63, from what appeared to be a heart attack.
Everyone who knew him is shocked by the news, particularly because he just led Northside Christian to an incredible appearance in the Sweet 16. Everyone who knew and loved Tim will miss him tremendously for his infectious enthusiasm and unwavering commitment to coaching. We can all take heart from his example of dedication and passion.
Tim Kusan recently won Coach of the Year, a testament to his commitment and influence, for his outstanding leadership and spiritual mentoring of these young boys. We beg for prayers for consolation, peace, and support for his cherished wife Patti, daughters Amy, Jessie, and Hope, and his nine grandchildren—plus one more on the way—as we grieve his unexpected death.
During this trying time, let us also remember his father and his siblings, Jim, John, Mike, and Susie. All the people whose lives Tim touched will continue to be inspired by his legacy of exceptional coaching and mentoring.
Let’s pray for consolation, peace, and strength for Tim’s wife Patti, his daughters Amy, Jessie, and Hope, his nine grandchildren, and his unborn child during this trying time. May the love that surrounds them and their treasured memories provide them comfort. As they deal with this loss, let’s also support Tim’s father, brothers Jim, John, and Mike, and sister Susie by giving them courage and solace. May they experience God’s consoling embrace during this grieving period.
On Monday, the funeral arrangements will be finalized by family members, and subsequent information will be communicated at that time. In the meantime, I would like to encourage you to give some thought to the words that Tim shared in a previous post. These words are a demonstration of his faith and his dedication to the work that God is doing. Every day, Tim lived his life as a Man of God, embodying the beliefs and values that he held dear.
In addition to being a cherished brother, he served as a wellspring of motivation and fortitude for everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. We should honor Tim’s legacy by sharing the memories and stories we have of him with one another during this time of remembrance. Let us cherish the memories and stories we have of Tim.
