Jessica Anne Gregory Obituary, Cherished Resident Of Aurora, Colorado Has Passed Away After A Brief Illness

Following her death on March 22, 2024, Jessica Anne Gregory, 36, left Aurora, Colorado with a glimmer of hope. Numerous people were impacted by the warmth and joy that her departure left behind.

Along with her beloved bulldog son Dozer, Jessica is survived by her parents Jim Gregory, Kathleen Germeroth, and Gary Germeroth; siblings Kaitlin Gregory, Zachary Germeroth, and Rory Germeroth; and Nana Anne O’Connor. She leaves behind a large network of teachers, friends, family, and students who had the good fortune to experience her light.

A Life Well Lived

Jessica’s journey started and ended at the same hospital, making a complete circle. She celebrated life during those 36 years by dancing, laughing, going to the beach, listening to music, and watching her beloved Broncos & Rockies. Her contagious smile and profound love impacted everyone in her path.  Jessica always provided loving and caring guidance to her siblings and cousins, taking great pride in her role as the eldest sibling. She and her sister Katie had occasional arguments, but their relationship was based on a strong, long-lasting love that could not be broken.

A Passion for Learning

Jessica preferred the feel of a real book in her hands over e-books, and her library of books ranged from childhood favorites to thick hardcover volumes. Jessica experienced both happiness and difficulty when she moved into the basement to seek independence after starting high school. She leaned on her brother Rory the entire time, creating a lifelong bond in the process.

A Committed Teacher

Following her graduation from Colorado State University, Jessica realized that teaching preschool was her calling. She loved the relationships she forged with each child and took pride in their achievements, treating them all as if they were her own. Jessica never wavered in her belief in family, even in the face of adversity.

She loved spending time with her large family and creating relationships that made her laugh and smile. Donations to the National Alliance on Mental Illness in Jessica’s honor are gratefully accepted, as they honor her altruistic nature and commitment to serving others.

Celebration of Life

A visitation will be held on April 3, 2024, followed by a service and reception on April 4, 2024, both at Horan & McConaty Funeral Service and Cremation in Centennial, CO. These gatherings offer an opportunity to honor Jessica’s life and the indelible mark she left on all who knew her.
