Gordon Sheridan Obituary, Native of Cranbrook British Columbia, Cranbrook History Centre Program Coordinator, Has Unexpectedly Passed Away

According to reports, Gordon Sheridan, who was a native of Cranbrook, British Columbia and served as the program coordinator for the Cranbrook History Centre, passed away unexpectedly. Gordon was forced to resign from his position as Program Coordinator after receiving a devastating diagnosis of pancreatic cancer in November 2022.

Throughout the past year and a half, he has fought cancer with optimism and bravery. Sunday, March 18th, 2024 was the day he passed away in a calm and peaceful manner, surrounded by his family and close friends.

Gordon, who served as our program coordinator, was a significant member of the Cranbrook community. He was brimming with ideas and enthusiasm. “We Are Not Amused,” the murder mystery that he wrote, directed, and starred in as Rod Stirling, was the work that he was most proud having accomplished. Being a friend and a leader, he was the one who brought laughter to the facility on a daily basis.

It is impossible to adequately express the magnitude of the void that his passing has created, and he will be sorely missed. All of you, including Rhonda, Parker, and the rest of Gord’s family, are in our thoughts and hearts at this time. We are sorry for the loss you have suffered. On April 21st, at four o’clock in the afternoon, there will be a celebration of life held at Key City Theatre.
