Robert Green Death(2024),Beloved Resident Passed Away Leaving Community In Distort– Odessa, Missouri

The death of Robert Lee Green (Bob), who was 83 years old and lived in Odessa, Missouri, occurred on Sunday, February 4, 2024. He was surrounded by his family. Bob Green was born on February 11, 1940, approximately ¼ mile southwest of Odessa, Missouri.

His parents, Charles Green and Florence (Peacock) Green, were his parents. Bob’s entire life was spent as a devoted and cherished member of the Odessa community.

He was born and raised in Odessa, and he received his high school diploma from Odessa High School during the year 1957. The Methodist Church in Odessa, Missouri was the location of Bob and Sharen Edwards’ wedding, which took place on August 26, 1960. He labored for Rabius Construction, a local construction company, while they were in the process of constructing the house in which they currently reside.

At Day-Green Concrete, where Bob was a co-owner and laborer, one of the things that they did was pour curbing for the town of Odessa. This was Bob’s first commercial venture. Before he started working for B.F. Sanders as a backhoe operator, he served in a number of different capacities.

In order to establish Green’s Backhoe and Trenching, Bob and Sharen purchased Mr. Sanders’s backhoe and trencher after he was retired. In addition, Bob farmed land in the surrounding area and bred cattle and hogs here and there. In order to devote more time to activities that he enjoyed, he decided to retire in the year 2002.

Hunting and fishing were two of Bob’s favorite hobbies. Bob took advantage of every opportunity he had to go fishing at the lake and hunting in Nebraska on an annual basis to fulfill his passions. During his earlier years, he had a passion for constructing go karts and competing in races. In 1965, When he, Sharen, and twenty-two other local riders journeyed to Sturgis, South Dakota, on their Harleys, he was also a member of the Show Me Motorcycle Club.

Later in life, Bob decided to swap in his motorcycle for a fifth-wheel camper so that he could spend more time traveling across the state and the country with Sharen, and he also continued to fish whenever he had the opportunity. Furthermore, he was a member of the New Horizon Presbyterian Church and served on the session of the congregation. Because he loved God, his wife, his children, his grandchildren, and his great-grandson, he was a man who worked very hard and was dedicated to his work.

Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sharen Green, who resides in Odessa, Missouri; a son, Rex Green; two granddaughters, Heather (Green) Witthar and her husband Bill, who reside in Blue Springs, Missouri; and Jaclynn “Jaci” Green and her significant other, Dakota Proctor, who reside in Independence, Missouri; along with one grandson, Logan Green and his significant other, Allyson Day, who reside in Odessa, Missouri; a great-grandson named Brayden Kirk of Blue Springs, Missouri; and a large number of relatives and friends. A daughter named Robin Green and a grandson named Arron Green-Specker, as well as Bob’s parents, two sisters, and two brother-in-laws, all passed away before him.
