Those who were close to Donald Cain are grieving his demise, including his family and friends. At this time, a buddy who was both incredibly powerful and kind had just passed away, which is a terrible tragedy that has just occurred. A communal gathering that is generally known as a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Patrick’s Irish Settlement Church on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 10:30 in the morning. The occurrence is scheduled to take place on the seventh of July.
At approximately ten o’clock in the morning, prior to the start of Mass, there will be gatherings of family and friends in order for them to greet one another and exchange pleasantries with one another. In the years leading up to his retirement from J. A. Long, Mr. Cain worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation and Southeastern Highway Contracting Company, where he held a variety of jobs. Both of these organizations were his employers in the years leading up to his retirement, and he worked for both of them.
He went back to work for Johnny Martin Paving, the company where he had previously been employed, in the years that followed his retirement. Not only did he instruct adult Sunday school, but the Cool Springs Baptist Church, of which he was a member, also appointed him to the position of deacon. He served in both capacities. The activities that Mr. Cain enjoyed doing throughout his life included spending time with his loved ones, going to Georgia Tech sporting events, and watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren compete in sports. He also enjoyed attending Georgia Tech athletic events. This was just a small selection of the activities that he took pleasure in doing.
In addition to Mr. Cain’s parents, the following individuals are still alive: his infant son, Derek Alan; his first wife, Jo Ann Weems Cain, whom he had been married to for 39 years; his brother, Lee and Marie (Lawson) Cain; his brother, Rex Cain; his sister and brother-in-law, Inez and Grover Brock; Arvin Gearin, another brother-in-law; and Benny Hawkins, another brother-in-law.
Mr. Cain is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sandra Abernathy Cain of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Darin and Peggy Cain of Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Penny and Bobby McGee of Gainesville; grandsons, Derek (Jessica) Cain, Drew (Katelyn) Cain, DJ (Emily) Kerns; great grandchildren, Dawson Cain, Riley Cain, Denver Cain.
Mason Cain, Duncan Cain, Tate Cain; step sons, Rhett (Amy) Tyner, Nick (Beth) Tyner; step grandchildren, Bree Tyner, Trey Tyner, Callie Tyner, Cullen Tyner, Mandi (Kevin) Lora; step great grandchildren, Quinn Lora, Cooper Lora; sister, Patsy Gearin; sister in law, Jean (Happy) Hawkins and a number of nieces, nephews, extended family and other loving relatives. Although he had been employed with G.M. Powertrain for a total of 31 years, he ultimately made the decision to leave the organization. You might run across Don while he is out and about on his golf cart or snowmobile, exploring the region that is located near Houghton Lake or even the upper peninsula. There is a probability that you will come across him. He considered the Detroit Lions, the Michigan Wolverines, and the Detroit Red Wings to be his three favorite teams that represented the United States of America.
He also considered the Detroit Red Wings to be his favorite team. His parents, his wife Stefanie, his son Mark Hannah, and his cherished dog Sage are included in the group of people he leaves behind. Every single one of these individuals bears his legacy. He leaves behind a number of people, including his family and his friends. After his death, his legacy will be carried on by a number of people, such as Daniel (Stacy) Hofsess and his children Danny and Morgan, Sallyjo (Ken) Hofsess and her children Lindsay, Matt, and Kristina, and his great-nephew Carter Bracey. All of these persons will carry on his legacy. Each of these people is capable of carrying on his legacy in their own unique way.
Additionally, Don is survived by his aunts, Zelma Grostick and her children Robert, Cindy, Kathy, and Annette; his aunt Kay, who was married to Doug Rayment and their children Joyce and Susan; and his aunt Kay, who was married to Doug Rayment. All of these individuals are his relatives. He is related to each and every one of these special people. All of Don’s grandparents, including Ed and Effie Bauer, as well as Ernie and Sophie Cain, had already passed away due to their own illnesses before Don made his entrance.
This included all of his grandparents. Those who were fortunate enough to have known Don will feel a profound sense of loss due to the fact that he led a life that was not only full of happiness but also full of labor. He had a life that was rich in both. Due to the fact that he was always there for his friends whenever they required his assistance, they never missed him.
