Angela Chao Car Accident(1972 – 2024), C.E.O. Of Family’s Shipping Company, Is Dead At Age 50 – Texas

According to the Blanco County Sheriff’s Office in Texas, the incident that occurred on February 10 and involved a shipping executive driving her Tesla into a pond that was located on a family ranch was referred to as a “unfortunate accident.” Angela Chao, the chief executive officer of a shipping firm and a member of a renowned family in American politics, was legally intoxicated when she drove into a pond in Texas and died last month, according to a police report that was released on Wednesday.

The report referred to the incident as a “unfortunate accident.” During the night of February 10, friends and deputies struggled desperately to get Ms. Chao out of her Tesla after she drove it into the pond at a family ranch in Johnson City, Texas. The report, which was provided by the Blanco County Sheriff’s Office, reveals the terrifying scenario that occurred on that night.

It is said in the report that Ms. Chao, who is fifty years old, had supper with a group of friends in a guest lodge located on the ranch earlier that evening. The guests started going back to their homes or bedrooms at approximately 11:30 p.m., which was the time when they left. After that, Ms. Chao reportedly got into her Tesla and drove backwards into the pond, as stated in the complaint.

Ms. Chao allegedly called her at 11:42 p.m. to inform her that her vehicle was submerged in the pond and that she was unable to retrieve it. This information was provided to the investigators by a friend. A little over eight minutes passed during the talk. After that, the friend got into a kayak and paddled toward the Tesla, while another friend got into the water, swam to the vehicle, and climbed on top of it in an attempt to locate Ms. Chao, according to the report.

At eleven minutes past eleven o’clock at night, a third friend called 911 and remained on the line for eleven minutes, according to the report. The report indicates that when law enforcement officers and firefighters came, they entered the freezing water and attempted to access the vehicle; however, they were unable.

After seeing that the window on the driver’s door had been broken, a deputy dived underwater and began searching the area around the vehicle until he located Ms. Chao. Despite the fact that her body was brought ashore, emergency medical personnel were unable to reestablish a pulse, and Ms. Chao was pronounced dead at 1:40 a.m. on February 11th. According to the report, a toxicological test revealed that Ms. Chao had a blood alcohol content level of 0.233 grams per 100 milliliters, which is more than the legal limit in the state of Texas, which is.08 grams per 100 milliliters.

According to the statement, “The family wishes to express their gratitude to the first responders and friends who worked so diligently to save her.” Ms. Chao had been serving as the chair and chief executive officer of the Foremost Group, which is owned and operated by the Chao family and encompasses a global fleet of bulk carrier ships, from the year 2018.

As a sister, she was related to Elaine Chao, who held the positions of secretary of transportation under the administration of former President Donald J. Trump and secretary of labor under the administration of former President George W. Bush. The Republican leader of the Senate, Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, is married to Elaine Chao, who is from Kentucky.
