This will be followed by funeral services, which will be presided over by the Reverend Raymond Aven, and they will begin at twelve o’clock in the afternoon. Immediately following the expiration of that period of time, the burial will take place at Magnolia Gardens.
On April 26, 1939, she was born in Tallahatchie County, which was the location of her birth. Her birth date was April 26. The passing of both of her parents, Vernon Estel Denley and Annie Mae Denley, took place before the birth of their daughter. Her parents were both named Denley.
The congregation of Webb Baptist Church included Mrs. Fay as a member throughout the time that she was a member of the church. Spending time with her family was the activity that she enjoyed the most, despite the fact that quilting and painting were two of her favorite pastimes.
Upon her passing, she is survived by two sons, Tony Aven of Cowart and Bill Van Aven (Pamela) of Batesville; two sisters, Alene Denley and Juanita Shaw; two grandchildren, Allison Lee (Buddy) and Carter Aven (Caroline Parker); and three great-grandchildren, Avery Clare Lee, Aven Kate Lee, and Addy Reece Lee. She was also survived by two sisters, Juanita Shaw and Alene Denley. Others who will inherit her heritage include her two sisters, Juanita Shaw and Alene Denley. Her legacy will be passed down to them.
Before she passed away, she was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Earlene Aven, her husband of 47 years, Travis Ernest Aven, and four brothers named Paul Denley, Robert Denley, and Billy “Estel Lee” Denley. Her parents and other family members had passed away before she did. She is the only member of her direct family to have survived, while other members of her family have perished.
However, Butch Aven, David Aven, Robin Denley, Buddy Lee, Jerry Todd, and Ping Pong Paris will serve as pallbearers at the funeral service. The distinction of carrying the casket will be bestowed upon these gentlemen.
