Billy Oden Obituary, Former Sergeant In The Alabama National Guard Has Passed Away

Billy Oden, who had reached the age of 73 at the time of his demise on March 19, 2024, resided in Scottsboro at the time of his passing. He had reached the age of 73 at the time of his passing. After serving in the United States Army for a period of time, Billy eventually rose through the ranks of the Alabama National Guard to become a sergeant.

An individual was able to achieve this by working their way up through the ranks of the Alabama National Guard. After having worked for Tennessee Alloy in Bridgeport for a total of 41 years, he made the decision to retire from the company. He had been a resident for forty-one years at that point.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Oden; children, Aleasha Oden, Karen (Sammy) Smith, Stacy (Cortney) Phillips, Clinton (Britany) Weddington, and Austin (Amber) Weddington; grandchildren, Paige McCloud, Cheyenne Raine, Gabrielle (Mason) Phillips, Braylen Phillips, Hadassa Weddington, Zion Weddington, Lucas Wooten, Ransom Robinson, Annabelle Robinson, Chloe Weddington, and Kai Nicolow; great grandchildren, Adalynn, Kinsley, Blakelynn, and Backett McCloud, and Elijah Adams; sister and brother in laws, Anita Martin, Kathy (Kennie) Moore, Marilyn (Jerry) Kychcik, Connie Oden, Betty Oden, and Phylis Wilson; several nieces and nephews.

His parents, Oliver and Bertha Oden, as well as his brothers Earl, Junior, Kenneth, Jerry, and Ricky Oden, come before him in the line of succession. He is the youngest of the Oden children. Among the Oden children, he is the youngest of the bunch. He is the youngest of the Oden children, making him the youngest of the litter. Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the Valley Funeral Home in Scottsboro, beginning at eleven o’clock on Friday, March 22, 2024.

The date and time of the service are still to be determined. At this time, neither the date nor the timing of the event has been decided upon. Visitation will take place on Thursday from five to eight o’clock, and the funeral service will take place on Friday during the same time period.

Both events will take place after the visitation. In accordance with the plans that were established in advance, the burial will take place at the Cedar Hill Cemetery
