On February 3, 2024, Valerie Smith, who was 68 years old and lived in Hayden, went to be with the Lord. Going to casinos and spending time at the beach were two of Mrs. Smith’s favorite things to do. Spending time with her family and the grandson in addition to spending time with her own family was something she did. She did not miss a single movie.
Graysville Cable Repair, Inc. was a place that she cherished working at. Everyone who knew her cherished her, and she will be sorely missed by all of them. The person who came before her in death was her father, Martin Fadlevich, as well as her sisters-in-law, Peggy Smith (Wayne) and Clara Marshall (Homer). Valerie is survived by her husband, Jimmy Smith; mother, Barbara Fadlevich;children; Matthew Smith, Branden Smith (Allie); sister, Rhetta Haynes (Ronny); sister, Vicki Fadlevich; brother, Martin Joseph Fadlevich, Jr. (Gena); grandkid, Martin Smith; brother-in-law, Eddie Smith (Cindy); Paula Willoughby (David); sisters-in-law, Tona Wright (David); nieces and nephews, Joe, Mike, Shannon, Haylee, Kaytee, Joey, Justin, James Paul, Christie, Erin, Robert, Steve, Jimmy, Dianna, Debbie, Karen, Dereck and a host of great nieces and nephews.
In addition to working as a medical transcriptionist from the comfort of her own home, she worked at the Smiles-Prentice Medical Group offices in Ashland, Memorial Medical Center in Ashland, Riddle Memorial Hospital in Media, Pennsylvania, Medical Associates North in Ashland, Kreuser Clinic in Washburn, and Medical Associates North in Ashland.
Her husband Warren, her sons Erin and Shawn, both of Washburn, her son Greg and his daughter-in-law Cassie, and her granddaughter Emma Lee Smith, all of Eau Claire, are among her survivors.
In addition, there is the sister Sandra Stolarczyk, who is in DeSoto, Wisconsin; the niece Susan and her husband Brice Folts, who are in Edgerton, Wisconsin; the nephew Frank Stolarcyzk, who resides in Beloit, Wisconsin; and the nephew John Tober, who resides in Avery, Wisconsin.
