On March 17, 2024, John Belt, who was a well-liked member of the community in Wichita, Kansas, passed away in a calm and serene manner. He was a member of the community. In the community, he was regarded as a valuable member. His steadfast dedication, together with his generosity and integrity, was the legacy that he left behind for everyone who came after him.
A loyal spouse, a doting father, and a respected colleague in the job, he was all of these things and more. This is the legacy that he has left behind, and it is comprised of these features. He owned John Belt Masonry and worked as a brick mason for a total of forty-eight years.
Riverlawn Christian Church counted him as a lifelong member, elder, and leader during his time there. During his retirement years, he continued to be a devoted servant by being employed at the Salvation Army Camp Hiawatha and driving for the American Red Cross.
The deceased individual was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Harold Belt, and his sisters Muralene Bowman, Zelda Peake, and Beulah Shaw. He is survived by his devoted wife Paddy, whom he has been married to for sixty-five years; his daughters Kathy (Mark Bishop), Ray, Debbie (Brad) Voran, and Sandi (Mike) Major; eight grandchildren, Adrienne (Kevin) Carey, Aaron Ray, Stacie (Jason) Watts, Zach (Jessica) Jeffery, Trista Sackman, Erica Jeffery, Ashley (Chase) Gibson, and Austin Major; and eight great-grandchildren, including Dalton and Brennan Carey, Madison Watts, Molly, Ty and Quinn Jeffery, and Chandler and Cannon Gibson. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing John will warmly remember his quick wit, brilliant smile, and infectious laughter. John will be remembered with affection by all those who had the opportunity to know him.
His passing has left a hole in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His passing has left a void in the hearts of everyone who knew him. In spite of this, his spirit will continue to motivate us to embrace life with love, joy, and a strong spirit of resilience throughout the years that are to come.
A memorial service will be held in St. Mary’s Cathedral on the 23rd of March, 2024, at eleven o’clock in the morning. The purpose of the service is to honor John’s life and pay tribute to his passing. Our hearts will be broken for him, and we will never forget him nor will we ever forget him. We are not going to forget him ever.
