He was born and raised in Fresno, and he took great pride in his graduation from Dunkirk High School, where he made lifelong friends and participated in unforgettable events. With his infectious smile and outgoing personality, Jason could bring people together simply by being himself. In the classroom, on the football pitch or at social gatherings, he had an innate ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. Jason never truly separated himself from Dunkirk, even after finishing high school. A deeply involved member of the community, he was always thinking of new ways to aid the downtrodden.
His unwavering commitment to serving others and his community earned him the admiration and respect of all those who knew him. Both Ruth and Jason were very supportive of one other’s efforts to improve themselves. Jason finally came to greatly like riding his motorbike, which he had gotten because Ruth had urged him to do so. Spending time with his family was something Jason really enjoyed.
Jason was there for Ruth every step of the way as she worked towards her objective of getting a Bachelor of Education degree. Jason brought joy to everyone he met and served as an inspiration to those around him. Her contagious personality was characterised by a beautiful smile and a superb sense of humour.
His parents, Larry and Rita Phillips, his wife Ruth, his sons Johnathan and Anders, his older brother Curtis (with Kimberly Levac), his younger brother Devin (with Sonia Freimark), Nolan, Alexa, and Makenzie, and his favourite sister Kimberly (with Dan Martin), Oakley, Alaric, and Oakley are among those who will miss him dearly. His absence will be deeply felt by everyone here. Without a doubt, his absence will be deeply felt.
There were a lot of foster kids living in the home where Jason spent his formative years, but Vance was the one who became his best friend. The house where Jason was raised had a large number of foster children. Everyone in Jason’s extended family—his nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts and uncles—will be mourning his death with you.
