According to the allegations made by the police, Wydajewski was traveling westbound on Warrenville Road at around 122 kilometers per hour when he collided with a car driven by Andrew Purtill, who was approximately 46 years old. Both Graceila Leanos, who was 22 years old, and Geovanny Alvarez, who was 21 years old, were passengers in Wydajewski’s vehicle at the time of the collision.
Purtill was also killed in the collision. Wydajewski was also severely injured as a result of the collision. As of the 30th of October in 2021, Andrew C. Purtill, who resided in Aurora, passed dead. Andrew is survived by his brother Michael Purtill, his sisters Kathleen Dreesen and Susan Purtill, as well as his sister Margie Davis, who passed away, and his sister Constance Reece, who also passed away. It was Lincoln Dreesen’s uncle who was his relative.
According to the authorities, Wydajewski was thrown from his vehicle and sustained life-threatening injuries. He remained in the hospital for more than a month after the incident. The report states that officers from the Lisle Police Department discovered two weapons inside Wydajewski’s vehicle. Wydajewski was charged with three felony counts of aggravated driving under the influence resulting in death, as well as misdemeanor counts of unlawful possession of a handgun and transportation or possession of open alcohol. All of these accusations were brought against Wydajewski.
As part of a deal that was accepted by the judge of DuPage County, Ann Celine O’Hallaren Walsh, he entered a guilty plea to three counts of severe driving under the influence of alcohol in exchange for the dismissal of the remaining charges and an 18-year prison sentence. As is the case with all DUI cases, the case against Mr. Wydajewski was completely avoidable, according to a statement released by the State’s Attorney Robert Berlin. “The lives of Andrew Purtill, Graciela Leanos, and Geovanny Alvarez have been reduced to a statistic and a tragic reminder of the deadly consequences of drinking and driving as a result of Mr. Wydajewski’s reckless actions,” the statement reads.
For Wydajewski to be eligible for parole, he will first be required to serve 85 percent of his previous sentence. Both happiness and laughter were brought to Andrew’s family by his presence, and they were able to experience both of these feelings from him. The relationship that he had with his siblings Kathleen and Susan, in addition to the one that he had with his brother Michael, was one of the most personal relationships that he had ever had.
Even though his sisters Margie Davis and Constance Reece have died away, the memories of people who loved them will continue to grow in the hearts of those who have been influenced by their absence.
This is because those who loved them will always remember them. During the time that Andrew was a part of his family’s lives, he was a wonderful uncle to Lincoln Dreesen, and his family will always cherish the times that they were able to spend together.
