Adam T. Perry, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine, athletic injuries, arthroscopic surgery, fracture care, and total joint replacement with robotics. He has received fellowship training and is board-certified.
Furthermore, he has vast experience in the direct anterior hip replacement method, minimally invasive ROSA Robotic Hip and Knee replacements, and Persona IQ Smart Knee.
He possesses a high level of qualifications and is well qualified. In addition, Dr. Perry is the first physician in Acadiana to be trained in and perform the Anterior Approach for Hip Replacement, as well as the ROSA Robotic Knee Replacement and the ROSA Robotic Hip Replacement.
The Louisiana Orthopaedic Center for Athletes, which was renamed Louisiana Orthopaedic Specialists in July of 2009, was created by Dr. Perry, who was one of the founding physicians of the organization.
San Antonio, Texas was the location where he culminated his training for the orthopedic sports medicine fellowship. Dr. Perry presided over anatomic direction seminars that were held during the 35th Annual Symposium on Sports Medicine while he was engaged in his fellowship. The Louisiana State University in New Orleans was the institution where Dr. Perry finished both his medical schooling and his residency before he was awarded his fellowship.
Within the course of his residency, he was presented with the Chief Research Award. In addition to completing his football career at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where he was also honored as Team Captain, Dr. Perry also received his undergraduate degree from that institution This enthusiasm for medicine was instilled in Dr. Perry by his mother, who was a registered nurse and taught at “big charity” for 32 years in the school of nursing. Dr. Perry was raised in Covington, Louisiana, and received his education from his mother.
In addition to being a member of the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association (LOA) and the Louisiana State Medical Society (LSMS), he is currently a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS). In addition, Dr. Perry serves as a team physician for all sports represented by the University of Louisiana Lafayette Ragin Cajuns and Teurlings Catholic High School.
