Antoinette Fenner Obituary, Death, Community Of Watertown Mourns Loss Of Cherished Resident

Antoinette “Toni” J. Fenner, who resided in Watertown and was 89 years old, passed away without any discomfort on Friday, March 15, 2024, at her residence. On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at eleven o’clock in the morning, a funeral service will be place at Immanuel Easter Lutheran Church in Farmington. The Reverend Joseph Fricke will preside over the ceremony.

On Monday, March 25, 2024, family and friends are welcome to assemble at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Both gatherings will take place in the church on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continuing until the time of the service. After the funeral, the burial will take place at the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be gratefully accepted by Rainbow Hospice, Lakeside Lutheran High School, or Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Farmington.

The family is being cared for by the Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service, which is located in Watertown. On the website www.HafemeisterFH.com, condolences can be left for the family.

Antoinette Josephine Schopp was born in Muskego, Wisconsin on November 23, 1934. Her parents were Frank Schopp and Mary Schopp, whose maiden name was Czurela. She wed Arthur “Art” J. Fenner on November 6, 1954. their wedding took place. They had gone through 62 years of marriage. It was on November 24, 2016, when he passed away before she did.

Toni’s primary role was that of a homemaker, providing for her twelve children. at a period of thirteen years, she worked at Bethesda Lutheran Homes in Watertown after having previously worked for Allis-Chalmers.

She did this after she had raised her family. In the years that followed, Toni remained employed with Cold Pack in Jefferson until the time of her retirement. She was a member of the Ladies Aid organization as well as the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Farmington. Her hobbies were birdwatching, needlework, quilting, and spending time with her animals.

Her 11 children, Bernice Sweo (Richard), Debbie Kopplin (Dave), Barb Groening (Steve), Dennis Fenner, Mike Fenner (Lori), Karen Bankert, Pauline Rams, Tom (Gitte) Fenner, Henry (Bonnie) Fenner, Bridgett Nelson (Buster), and Jim Fenner (Crystal), as well as her 26 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and her brothers-in-law, Max Bergmann and Casey Fenner (Beth), as well as her nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, are among those who are able to carry on her legacy. In addition to her eight siblings, Toni was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur, her daughter Brenda Nelson, her grandson Mason, her granddaughter Brianna, and her son-in-law John Bankert.
