Shooting In Payson Utah, 2 Person’s Critically Injured, Other Victim Involved Are In Police Unveiled Situation

There was a double shooting that took place in Utah County on Thursday afternoon, which resulted in two women being sent to the hospital for treatment. It was just before two o’clock in the afternoon that the incident took place, according to Sergeant Noemi Sandoval of the Payson Police Department.

The incident took place in the vicinity of 500 West Saddlebrook in Payson. Her declaration was made public. Reports indicate that two women, both of whom were described as being in their late 20s or early 30s, were both shot and transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance.

Both of the women were characterized as being in their late 20s or early 30s. Bullet wounds were sustained by both of the women of the group. An individual was found in the basement, where he had been yelling for assistance prior to the arrival of the police. The authorities discovered a woman who had been shot in the leg as well as a male who was holding a woman who was in possession of a gun. Both of these individuals were placed under arrest. During the course of the discussion, Sandoval made the following statement: “At some point in time, there was an altercation, a verbal altercation, which obviously turned into something more.”

It was reported by the authorities that the male was attempting to prevent the armed woman from firing her firearm by giving her what they referred to as a “bear hug.” Sandoval provided the following explanation to the reporters: “An officer was attempting to assist the female, but she was able to maneuver the firearm and shoot herself in the head at that time.” It was discovered that the woman was unconscious but still breathing when she arrived at the hospital after being transported there. It has been determined by the authorities that the information that has been acquired indicates that the woman who shot herself in the head also shot the other woman in the leg.

We are currently conducting an investigation into the events that led up to the incidence, which is something that we are looking into. It has been brought to our attention by Sandoval that they are familiar with one another, as far as we are all aware. Despite the fact that the police were able to acquire the handgun that was used in the shooting, they were unable to identify the person who was the owner of the gun at the time of the incident. Following this, the next step that will be performed is to conduct interviews with each and every individual who was present inside the residence.

Try going door-to-door and talking to some of the people who live nearby. It is important to inquire as to whether or not they witnessed or heard anything. According to Sandoval, “Make an effort to investigate the possible factors that led to this happening,” and he urges you to do so.

For the time being, the woman who had been shot in the leg was being treated at the hospital for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, as stated by the most recent information that was provided by the police. It was becoming increasingly difficult for the woman who had suffered a brain injury to recover from her condition.
