Sarah Record Obituary, Death, Raton New Mexico, A Tribute to a Beautiful Soul

In the year 2023, on September 30th, Sarah Record, who had been a resident of Sugarcreek, New Mexico, passed away for the final time. It is mentioned in her obituary that she passed away in Raton, New Mexico, and that her great soul is honored in the manner that she was described. In the newspaper, it was reported that she had passed away. Jacob J. Miller and Ida Schlabach Miller, his parents, had both departed away prior to his birth on November 24, 1933 in Holmes County.

He was the only child of the couple. It was in Holmes County where he was born. It was on April 18th, 1953 that she and Atlee E. Troyer committed their marriage to one another by exchanging their vows. One year ago, on July 10th, 2013, he passed away on that day.

In addition to being a member of the First United Church of Christ in Sugarcreek, which she attended on a consistent basis, she worked at Alsco for a large period of time on a regular basis. Spending time with her grandchildren and going to see them was something that she looked forward to doing. She also appreciated the time she spent with them.

Sarah is survived by her children Marilyn Dave Perritt of Elyria, Marion Julie Troyer of New Philadelphia, and Bob Amy Troyer of Sugarcreek; eight grandchildren, Nikki Rob Izer, Michael Perritt, Amanda Stew Thorburn, Tommy Casidhe Troyer, Michelle Troyer, Kristen John Sweeney, Jake Troyer, and Katie Gabe Elmore; six great grandchildren Kaden and Keegan Perritt, Ethan Izer, Anna Troyer, Colton and Emme Elmore; siblings Susie Monk Yoder of Sugarcreek, Ada Levi Weaver of Barrs Mills, Abe Edna, deceased Miller of Mt. Hope, and Roy Mary Miller of Winesburg.

Her husband, Atlee, her parents, Jacob and Ida Miller, her sister and brother-in-law, Emery and Arie Weaver, and her brother, Levi Miller, had all passed away prior to her passing. Her brother, Levi Miller, was also among those who had passed away before her. Sugarcreek’s Smith-Varns Funeral Home will be the location of the funeral service, and Pastor Earl Rogers will preside over the ceremony.

The funeral service will be held in honor of the deceased. The funeral service will be held in private, and it will be reserved exclusively for the family. When the time comes, the body will be laid to rest in Union Hill Cemetery in Sugarcreek. This will take place at a later date.
