David’s siblings Sharon, Michelle, and Sue (Ron), in addition to a large number of friends who have known him for his whole life, will always remember him. William and Norma (Nee Arnold) Gaum, his parents, passed away before him.
He was the only child of the couple. David’s life was enriched by his many interests, including his obsession with astronomy and his enthusiasm for racing vehicles. He took pleasure in the pursuit of his interests, which he shared with people who were close to him. He was a collector who was passionate about his hobby. David was a dedicated participant in a number of bowling and dart leagues, where he established friendships that would last a lifetime. Additionally, he was a dedicated employee of Tazmanian Freights, leaving a mark of hard work and dedication.
His dedication went beyond his personal interests and stretched beyond those of his personal interests. Let us recall the warmth that David offered to those who were around him, the camaraderie that he cultivated via shared pastimes, and the love that he shared with those who were closest to him as we celebrate his life. Rest in peace, he deserves it. Andrew attended Seton Hall High School in Patchogue, New York, and graduated from there. In the course of the Korean War, he was a member of the United States Navy and served his country while stationed in both Gaum and Okinawa.
In 1985, Andrew had served the Fire Department of New York City for more than twenty years before retiring as a firefighter. Hunting, fishing, and watching old westerns and television episodes were some of Andrew’s favorite activities. All that mattered to him was his family and the Fire Department. Andrew is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Carmella Antoinette Primavera Watson; three children, James Joseph Watson and Renee, St Lucie, FL, Glenn Andrew Watson and Karen, Blue Point, NY, Tina Marie Tirabassi and Dennis, Miller Place.
NY; daughter-in-law, Susan Watson, St James, NY; eleven grandchildren, James Joseph Watson Jr, Taylor Rose Watson, Kenneth T Watson Jr, Angela Faith Cuccienello, Gary Watson, Christopher Watson, Jennifer King, Nicole Ryan, Andrew Ryan, Thomas Ryan Jr, and Kelli Ann Ryan; two great grandchildren, Mia and Wyatt; one sister, Anne Muldowney, Tampa, FL; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
