Lizzie Turner Obituary, Death, Fairfax Virginia, A Life of Love and Legacy

 Notice of Death and Obituary for Lizzie Turner, Fairfax, Virginia Loving and leaving behind a legacy Her parents, Frank Daughtry and Friel Brown, brought her into the world in Tazewell, Virginia. After moving to Richland, West Virginia, where Libby spent her childhood, the family relocated to Solway prior to the construction of the dam. After completing her high school education at Oak Ridge High School in 1951, Libby started working for her father at West Knox Utility, where she remained employed until she achieved retirement.

She enjoyed visiting to the flea market and selling her wares there whenever she had any spare time. Patsy Pennington, Elizabeth Turner’s sister, her parents Frank and Friel Daughtry, and her husband James Turner all passed away before her. Elizabeth Turner is the last surviving member of her family.

 

James J. Turner (Marie) and Frank E. Turner, her two sons, her brother Jimmy Daughtry, her grandkids Michael, Jimmy, Timothy, Cheyanne, Cy, and C.J., her three great-grandchildren, A.J. and Taylor Kayden, and her nieces Lisa Chambers and Patti Pennington are among those who are able to carry on her legacy when she passes away.

Visitation will begin at eleven in the morning on the day of the Memorial Service for Elizabeth Turner, which will take place on Saturday, March 13, 2021. The Memorial Service will begin at noon.After Liz’s marriage to Cyral E. Turner, which took place on August 22, 1948, he passed away on April 6, 1986, before she did. Although they had been residents of Rushville since 1965, they had also spent time in the Chesterton and Valpo areas.

Liz was a member of the Bas Bleu Book Club, a former vice president of Rush County Victims Assistance, someone who had served as president of the Rush County Mental Health Association, and someone who had been a member of the First Baptist Church for a significant amount of time.

In 1986, Liz took her retirement from Pioneer Hi-Bred International in Rushville, where she had worked as an office administrator for a number of years. In addition to their special cousin, Katie Clark of Anderson, Elizabeth, Daniel, and Stephen Turner and their cousin.

On Monday, November 21, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., funeral services will be performed at the Moster Mortuary in Rushville, with Pastor Greg Engle serving as the officiant. From noon until the time of the ceremony on Monday, friends are welcome to pay their respects at the morgue.

On Tuesday, November 22, at ten o’clock in the morning, the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery will be the location of the graveside burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be donated to Rush County Mental Health Association or Rush County Victims Assistance respectively.
