Prior to joining SOCAN, Vicki held significant roles in esteemed organizations within the music publishing realm. Serving as Vice President, Administration, at ATV Canada and later at TMP – The Music Publisher, Vicki’s expertise and diligence earned her respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.

A Pillar at SOCAN

During her time at SOCAN, Vicki Walters became an integral part of the Membership Department, where she served for over a decade. Her warmth, expertise, and genuine love for music endeared her to both colleagues and the publishers she supported.

Vicki’s dedication to her work and her willingness to share her extensive knowledge made her a beloved figure within SOCAN.  SOCAN CEO Jennifer Brown fondly recalls Vicki’s invaluable contributions: “Vicki was a great friend and colleague at SOCAN for so many years. She had a true love of music, and she fostered and maintained such strong, true connections to our SOCAN publishers.” Jennifer’s sentiments echo the sentiments of many who had the privilege of working alongside Vicki.

A Legacy of Care and Diligence

Frank Davies, who worked closely with Vicki at TMP – The Music Publisher, remembers her as a devoted and caring professional. “Vicki was particularly respected among artists and TMP’s foreign publishing partners for her diligence in tracking royalties and arranging for prompt payments,” says Davies. Her commitment to ensuring that artists and publishers received their due reflected her deep understanding of the importance of their work.
