The news of Tom Roberson’s passing has left us in a state of profound grief. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Tom has ROC’s highest regard when it comes to the quality of his friendships. The project required a great amount of time and experience from him, and he contributed both of these things.
During the time that he was still with us, he demonstrated unwavering support for ROC, and we would like to use this occasion to express our deepest thanks to him. Without a shadow of a doubt, he will be greatly missed by many.
We ask that you remember his family in your prayers and that you also take a moment to read the information that his family has provided below regarding the memorial service that will be held in his honor. We are grateful for your consideration of this request. The passing of Tom Roberson, which occurred yesterday, March 13th, is a particularly unfortunate coincidence. Yesterday was the day that he passed away. There will be a memorial service and a celebration of his life that will take place this coming Saturday at one o’clock in the afternoon at the Spindale United Methodist Church.
The service will be held in his honor. Following his graduation from Bledsoe County High School in Pikeville, Tennessee, where he also acquired his high school credential, he went on to earn his diploma from Tennessee Tech University. Tom was a regular attendee of the services held at the Oliver Springs Methodist Church when he was a full-time member of the congregation.
Tom is survived by his wife of sixty years, Huette Hoskins Roberson; his sons, Don Thomas and Jason Wayne Roberson and his wife, Kelly; and his daughters, Lucinda Roberson and Lucinda Wayne Roberson.
He was married to Huette for sixty years. Tom’s familial devotion was profound, and he will be sorely missed by his family. Those who are able to carry on her legacy include her husband, Elrod Didona, and her husband, Eddie, as well as her five grandchildren, one granddaughter, and one great-granddaughter. Additionally, her brothers, Gordon Roberson, Jiggs Roberson, and Bob Roberson, as well as her sisters, Crocia Roberson and Sallie Swor, are also able to carry on her legacy. A large number of people, including a large number of nieces and nephews, members of extended family, and friends, will miss him. He will be greatly missed by every single one of these people.
Both of his parents, Horace Monroe (Roe) and Vera Hale Roberson, had already passed away before to his birth. He was the only child with both of them.
The child in question is the sole offspring that his parents have ever had. Among Tom’s favorite activities were spending time with his family, going camping, farming, and working with wood. He also enjoyed working with wood. Additionally, he delighted in spending time in the natural environment.
