I am writing to inform my friends and family that my younger sister, Nicole Ogletree Smith, has left this world at 2:55 a.m. on March 16th. It is with a heavy heart that I share this news with you. We are going to share the funeral arrangements after they have been finalized. We would want to express our gratitude to everyone who reached out to us and to those who prayed for a peaceful passing.
Yesterday, she was baptized after she recently made the decision to embrace Christ as her savior. The fact that she passed away on March 16th is ironic because it is the first Bible verse that we learnt when we were youngsters, John 3:16. Nicole passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at the age of 26. The family wishes to express their deepest condolences to her family and friends. She is the cherished and cherished daughter of Michelle and Scott Smith.
The cherished granddaughter of Gerry Binkle, Dave Smith (and his wife Darlene), and Joan Dalgleish (and her husband Rick). A cherished niece of Brian, Jim, Kelly, and Mary among others. Cremation was carried out in accordance with Nicole’s specifications. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016, from 1 to 4 o’clock in the afternoon at the Stonehouse-Whitcomb Funeral Home, located at 11 Mountain Street in Grimsby.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Celebration of Nicole’s Life that will take place at Teddy’s Restaurant, which is located at 30 Main Street West in Grimsby, immediately after the visitation.
At a later time, a private family burial will take place. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for any contributions made in Nicole’s memory to the Niagara SPCA. They would be greatly welcomed. Natalie was a member of the graduating class of Hanover Senior High School in the year 1988. At the Hardee’s restaurant in McSherrystown, she was employed as a cashier.
Nicole is survived by her children, Jared A. Lane and Ashley N. Lane, as well as her three siblings, Roger Smith of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Dwaine Smith of Dover, Pennsylvania, and Sonya (Smith) Reed of Hanover, Pennsylvania. Her devoted husband Ryan and her mother Linda are also among those who are present at her passing.
