She is a Minnesota native native.
It was Daniel and Sandra (Lillegaard) Licklider who were her parents. Her parents were her parents. Renville, New York was her hometown, and she received both her baptism and her confirmation at First Lutheran Church, where she continued her education. Megan attended school in Renville, where she participated in their volleyball, choir, and band programs. She was also a member of the school’s band. She finished her education at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she got a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in Spanish. Not only did she spend her summers working at Green Lake Bible Camp, but she also completed her studies there. After graduating from the University of Maryland, Megan found employment at Woodland Centers.
However, it was during her time working as a long-term substitute at Renville County West that she came to the realization that she wanted to pursue a career in education. In 2008, she began working at RCW as a Spanish instructor for elementary school students. In addition, she attended classes at the College of St. Catherine on the weekends in order to get a teaching certificate. She started teaching fourth grade as soon as she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, and then she moved on to teaching fifth grade at a later point in her career. Megan fostered in her students a desire for learning as well as a feeling of pride in being Jaguars.
She felt that education and school spirit were of the utmost importance, and she made sure that her students were aware of this. Megan Sand had already tied the knot with Ryan Sand by the time Jack Uriah Sand was born on March 16, 2008, so she was already a married woman.
According to Megan, Jack has become the most important person in her life throughout the course of time. She treasured the time that she was able to spend with Jack, which included engaging in activities such as reading, watching movies, constructing with LEGO sets, going to the family cabin on Lake Florida, swimming, and boating.
In addition, she had a strong interest in exploring new locations, and she had already visited countries such as Spain, Mexico, Norway, Costa Rica, India, and Italy. The ceremony that marked the union of Megan and John Twernbold took place on July 30, 2016, in Litchfield, the location where the couple had been residing jointly.
Her husband, John Twernbold, her son, Jack Sand, her parents, Dan and Sandra Licklider, her sister, Mandy Bond (and Aaron), and her niece, Adina, as well as her grandmother, Gladys Lillegaard, and a large number of other relatives from her extended family, are among those who are able to carry on her legacy. In addition to her own passing, her younger brother, Kyle Licklider, and her grandparents, U.T., had all passed away before she did.
