Jean Gaylor Obituary, Death, Jean Gaylor Has Passed Away

Our sister Barbara Jean Gaylor, who was also known as Jeanie Gaylor, passed away earlier this morning. Additionally, she was known by the name Jeanie Gaylor. Her departure occurred in the middle of the night, and she did not experience any discomfort in the process.

Momma and Vernon are the ones that are now accompanying her at this moment in time. Because of how unexpected and sudden this event occurred, I am still in a state of shock after it occurred. Still, I am in a state of disbelief today. The fact that you have continued to pray for her family is something that is very much appreciated.

Through the year 1972, Jean became a devoted member of the Foundry United Methodist Church, where she also discovered that singing in the church choir brought her a great deal of joy. 1972 was the year that Jean first became associated with the church. Besides that, Jean was a member of a number of other groups, including the Retired Officer’s Wives Club and the Cape Henry Women’s Club. Both of these clubs brought together women from the Cape Henry area. Gardening, bowling, and occasionally arranging floral arrangements were some of the activities that she enjoyed doing in her spare time.

Jean made the decision to resign from the Virginia Beach Public Schools because she had a great personal interest in working with children. Jean had spent her entire career dealing with children, and she had spent her entire career doing so. Jean spent a significant amount of time volunteering her services at the Virginia Beach General Hospital. She did this for a number of years. Her altruistic and compassionate care extended to a wide range of people, including her family, her friends, and even complete strangers. She possessed a charming and compassionate personality.

Other members of the family include the husband, Charles W. “Charlie” Gaylor; the daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Walter Aude; the son, Robert Gaylor; the grandson, Austin Aude; the brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Helen Underhill, Sr.; the sister-in-law, Betty Jo Underhill; and a number of nieces and nephews all of whom are related to the family. The family includes each and every one of these persons as members. He was preceded in death by three brothers, in addition to his cherished parents, who had already passed away.

She leaves behind her son, Ronald Eugene Gaylor, and his wife, Deanna; her daughter, Kathryn Gaylor Angelo, and her husband, Michael; her sister, Maria Long, and her husband, Jim; her brother, Eugene Davis, and his wife, Brenda; her five grandchildren, Heather Gaylor, Daniel Gaylor, Kyle Gaylor, Blake Noll, and Brent Noll; and her nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. She also leaves behind her husband, Michael. All of these individuals manage to carry on her legacy.
