The unexpected demise of Cavan Cantagallo has left me incomparably heartbroken. I will be praying fervently for Cavan’s friends and family, especially for his wife Kyrsten, who is my closest and most enduring friend, and their three young girls. Cavan exemplified the qualities of a good husband, father, and friend. He was hilarious, he was a lot of fun, and he was a good person.
The fact that he would show up at my gigs and sing with my band is something that I will miss. Even more than that, I’ll miss being humiliated by him in fantasy football every year (and I’m sure that my defeat was a source of great pleasure for him lol).
To everyone who knew and loved him, please accept my sincerest sympathies. Salutations to you, Cav. Just like you would say, “Love you, dog. It was Muriel. Kay Cavan, who had been a longstanding resident of LaMott earlier in her life, passed away on October 27, 2023 at the age of 85. She had most recently been residing in Lansdale.
Her parents, Leslie and Anna Bates (née Kennedy), both passed away before her birth on August 11, 1938 in Philadelphia. She was born to them. Muriel was the cherished wife of Daniel T. Cavan, who passed away; she was the mother of Donna M. Miller and her husband Gregory, and Susan D. Lynch and her husband Timothy; she was the grandmother of Timothy J. Lynch, Jr. and his wife Ruby, Kaitlyn M. Moss and her husband Phillip, and Nicole M. Miller; she was also the great-grandmother of Lucy Mae Moss and Wyatt Phillip Moss; and she is also survived by a loving extended family.
Muriel is a proud alumni of Cheltenham High School, being a member of the Class of 1956. She was raised and received her education in the Cheltenham Township. Muriel went back to work as a secretary for the First Pennsylvania Bank after her children had completed their high school educations and graduated.
She was so committed to her family and friends that her grandchildren’s friends even referred to her as “Nanny.” Muriel was a much loved and respected individual.
Her absence will be keenly felt by everyone who had the privilege of calling her a friend. Family and friends are cordially welcome to attend the burial ceremonies for Muriel, which will take place at Whitemarsh Memorial Park on Saturday, November 4, 2023, beginning at eleven o’clock in the morning.
The funeral procession will be collected in front of the bell tower, which is located within the entrance to the cemetery, for those who are attending.
