On Tuesday, a collision caused a portion of the inner loop of the Capital Beltway to be closed; however, some of the lanes have since been reopened. According to the authorities, the collision took place on the inner loop of Interstate 495, exactly after Exit 34 at Rockville Pike. There was a collision between two tractor trucks.
Minor injuries were sustained by one of the drivers, who was transported to a nearby hospital. According to the Maryland State Police, dealing with the situation of one of the tractor trailers leaking fuel was going to be a “lengthy process.” At that time, all lanes of traffic were closed, and the only way for vehicles to continue forward was on the shoulder of the road.
